A By-election has been called following the resignation of Susan Waller-Thomas who represented the Newton ward for Swansea Council.
The election to fill the vacant Newton ward seat will take place on Thursday October 21.
Nominations will open on Monday September 13 and will close at noon on Friday September 24.
