Commenting on the cluster of diagnosed Legionnaires’ disease cases in South Wales, Shadow Minister for Health and Social Services and Assembly Member for South Wales Central, Andrew RT Davies, said:
“At this time it is essential that Public Health Wales keeps communities informed of developments and possible symptoms, while working to identify the source of the outbreak.
“I hope that families in the affected areas will not worry unduly as Legionnaires’ disease is not contagious and the risk of contracting it remains low.
“It is important that families of those affected have access to clear information about the disease at this worrying time.”
