Shadow Minister for Equality Mohammad Asghar has welcomed the launch of the Equality of Opportunity Committee’s report into the accessibility of railway stations in Wales.
Published on Wednesday, the report found that more than 50 per cent of Wales’ railway stations are not fully accessible to disabled people.
Mr Asghar said: “It is very concerning that, in Wales, there are significant shortcomings with regards to the accessibility of our railway stations.
“Welsh Ministers must use all the powers at their disposal to ensure that the accessibility of our railway stations is improved. Wherever possible, people must have the best possible access to public transport”.
