Jenny Willott, the Liberal Democrat MP for Cardiff Central and Co-Chair of the Party’s Parliamentary Committee on Work and Pensions, has today welcomed the Government’s announcement of a review of barriers to work for disabled people.
The review, which will be conducted by Liz Sayce, the Chief Executive of respected disability organisation RADAR, will look at what the Government can do to help support disabled people get back into work.
Commenting, Jenny Willott said:
“I am pleased the Government has announced this review. Many disabled people who want to work have been denied the opportunity to do so for too long because of a lack of basic support.
“We need an in-depth look at the barriers facing disabled people in the workplace and what the Government can do to reduce these barriers.”
