Young children can enjoy a range of activities at libraries in Rhondda Cynon Taf from this month.
Activities for pre-school children, parents and carers in libraries will include stories, rhymes and crafts. The programmes are being run by Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Early Years Department (Language & Play and Talkabout teams).
Libraries hosting sessions are:
Aberdare Library: Language & Play every Monday until Feb 14 from 11am – 12 noon
Church Village Library: Number & Play every Friday until Feb 18 from 10.15am – 11.30am
Hirwaun Library: Language & Play every Wednesday until Feb 9 from 11am – 12 noon
Pontypridd Library: Talkabout every Monday until April 11 from 11am – 12 noon
Treorchy Library: Language & Play every Thursday until Feb 10 from 11am – 12 noon.
Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, Cllr Robert Bevan, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer these free, fun-filled and educational mornings for very young children at our libraries.”
Parents and carers are advised to check with their local library that sessions are running, as very occasionally they may be cancelled at short notice.
