Tons of fun for tots at local libraries

Young children can enjoy a range of activities at libraries in Rhondda Cynon Taf from this month.

Activities for pre-school children, parents and carers in libraries will include stories, rhymes and crafts. The programmes are being run by Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Early Years Department (Language & Play and Talkabout teams).

Libraries hosting sessions are:

Church Village Library: Number & Play every Friday until Feb 18 from 10.15am – 11.30am

Hirwaun Library: Language & Play every Wednesday until Feb 9 from 11am – 12 noon

Pontypridd Library: Talkabout every Monday until April 11 from 11am – 12 noon

Rhondda Cynon Taf’s
Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, Cllr Robert Bevan, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer these free, fun-filled and educational mornings for very young children at our libraries.”

Parents and carers are advised to check with their local library that sessions are running, as very occasionally they may be cancelled at short notice.

Membership of all Rhondda Cynon Taf’s libraries is free and everyone living or working within the county borough is welcome to join. Find out more by visiting www.rhondda-cynon-taff.gov.uk/libraries
