On Saturday 16 July 2011 Burry Port lifeboat station held its annual Summer Ball at The Alexander Suite, Stradey Park Hotel, Llanelli.
The ball was attended by 120 crew, committee members and supporters of the station. On arrival guests were served Bucks Fizz by crew members before sitting for a three course meal. During the evening DVDs of the work of the RNLI was shown, of particular interest to all present was a short film, compiled by Helmsman Lee Howells, of the work of the crew at Burry Port. After the meal the guests were entertained by the group Glint. …
The evening was a great success and enjoyed by all and raised £2,500.
