A Celebration of a Century of Providing an Excellence in Schools Football

This season the Welsh Schools’ Football Association is celebrating its centenary.  As part of its celebrations a football match has been arranged for Tuesday the 19 April 2011 between the WSFA Under 18 Schoolboy International team and a Football Association of Wales Under 18 select XI managed by ex Welsh Schools’ FA Under 15 International Brian Flynn.  Kick off is at 14.30 at the Genquip Stadium, Port Talbot.

Following the game a celebration dinner is to be held at Blanco’s Hotel/Restaurant, Port Talbot. Meet at 19.00 for 19.30.  A number of ex WSFA internationals who have gone on to have a career in the professional game will be in attendance and this season’s squad will be presented with their international caps.  The WSFA Statistician/Historian Ceri Stennett has written a book on the history of the Association entitled   AS GOOD AS IT GETS. A CENTENARY HISTORY OF THE WELSH SCHOOLS’ FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION and this will be launched at the dinner.

A couple of tables of ten are still available at a cost of £25 per person.  Why not come along as an individual or as a group and join in the celebration.  You will be most welcome.
