A chance to discuss the economy and environment in Gwynedd

Are you interested in discussing the importance of economic development and environmental sustainability? If so, a key meeting is being held jointly by the Gwynedd Economic Partnership and the Gwynedd Environmental Partnership on Friday, 12 March.

This meeting will be an excellent opportunity to discuss the interrelation between the economy and environmental fields, and there are a number of places available for members of the public to attend the event.

Chairman of the Gwynedd Economic Partnership, Dafydd Iwan said:

“Ensuring close integration across the economic development and environmental sustainability is key to Gwynedd’s future. This meeting will be a great opportunity for us to discuss together and to share best practice across the county.”

This meeting held at the Centre for Alternative Technology near Corris is the first of a series of meetings which will be held by the Gwynedd Economic Partnership across the county during 2010 to discuss issues which are important to the local economy.

Huw Davies, Chairman of the Gwynedd Environmental Partnership, added:

“We are confident that this meeting will be an excellent opportunity to share ideas and discuss important matters across the local environment and economy. Members of the public who are keen to attend the event are welcome to contact the Gwynedd Economic Partnership team to register their interest.”

A bus has been arranged to travel to the Centre for Alternative Technology near Corris for the meeting which will start at 11am on Friday, 12 March. The bus will start from Bangor at 9am and will collect those who have registered along the journey to Corris. A limited number of seats are available, and those wishing a seat on the bus should contact the Gwynedd Economic Partnership.
