You can find many of the great romance stories at Cardiff Central Library, but what about finding your very own love story?
For the first time in a Cardiff library a special speed dating event will be taking place on 11th of February at 7.30pm at the Central Library – just in time to find your perfect partner before Valentine’s Day.
All you need to do is bring along your favourite book (the perfect ice-breaker) and let Cupid get to work. Get to know some like-minded people without the usual distraction of loud music in this perfect, laid-back venue. The event is open to anyone over the age of 18.
Tickets can be bought from Cardiff Central Library and cost £10 each. The price includes entertainment, nibbles and glass of wine on arrival. Plus there is the opportunity to bring along your own bottle.
Executive Member for Sport, Culture and Leisure, Cllr Nigel Howells, said: “I am delighted that we are hosting such a unique event at Cardiff Central Library. This year we are intending to introduce many events and nights that you may not associate with your local library.
“The speed dating event is the first of many such events and is a great way for people to meet and a fantastic way to encourage people to use the library.
“I looking forward to seeing how the inaugural speed dating event at Central Library goes and fingers crossed cupid’s arrow will strike on the night!“
