A548 Foryd Road Bridge in Rhyl closures ahead

Investigation works will be carried out on the A548 Foryd Road Bridge in Rhyl on Tuesday 30th March, to confirm construction details and condition of various elements of the Bridge in advance of major works planned for Autumn 2010.

A lane closure, with traffic lights in operation, will be necessary from 9am to 4pm.

The works planned for Autumn 2010 are for bridge bearing replacement and to apply a waterproof membrane to the bridge deck and renew the road surfacing.

The works will be programmed, as far as possible, to minimise disruption.

Where possible necessary road closures will be restricted to night time, however some lane closures, with traffic lights in operation, are unavoidable.  It is expected that the work will take 3 months starting in late September or early October.

Further information will be issued when firm dates are known for the works, in addition signs will be erected in advance of the works to warn of impending traffic restrictions.
