Police recently conducted high visibility patrols in Gresford and Marford confiscating bottles and cans of alcohol from teenagers.
Local PCSOs, Wendy Harris and Kelly Ellis spoke to a number of youths heading for the nearby quarry.
Follow up visits to their parents have been arranged and the officers hope that with support from parents, they can highlight the risks of drinking alcohol at an early age.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue to patrol the areas surrounding Marford quarry and undertake specific operations throughout the spring.
