All aboard new buses

Two new school buses have recently been added to Pembrokeshire County Council’s fleet.

The new buses are fully accessible and for the first time offer wheelchair users the opportunity to travel on mainstream school transport rather than in separate vehicles.

The vehicles, which seat 70 pupils, are used to transport students to and from school 190 days a year during term time but are also available to schools or groups affiliated to the Council during the school day or at weekends and school holidays.

They are currently the only large wheelchair accessible buses in the County and are already being used by schools and groups that have wheelchair users.

For further details on using theses vehicles please contact the Council’s Transport Unit on 01437 775221.
