AM Hears of Raglan Broadband Concerns

Nick_RamsayMonmouth Assembly Member Nick Ramsay has said he would be happy to support a possible petition for improved broadband in Raglan, following a complaint from a constituent.

The Raglan resident contacted Mr Ramsay about his broadband problems, which even upgrading to a business service had failed to improve. He said he had been in touch with BT engineers and had been told that the exchange was archaic and unable to cope with the demands.

Commenting on the issue, Mr Ramsay said:

“I receive a large number of e-mails and letters from constituents in outlying rural areas about their poor broadband service but there are clearly now growing concerns about broadband speeds in the village of Raglan itself.

“If there is support in the village for a petition to improve broadband in Raglan I would be happy to support and add my name to it. The roll out of superfast broadband is due to begin in June in Monmouth but I don’t know how this is likely to affect Raglan, if at all at this stage.

“Constituents can register their interest at http://www.superfast-cymru.com” www.superfast-cymru.com for more information and updates.”
