Paul Davies AM has supported the Bliss premature baby charity at the Senedd.
He was briefed on a new report by the charity which reveals that despite numerous government reports in the last three decades recommending better services for sick and premature babies, not one has ever been fully implemented.
“One in every nine babies is born premature or sick and with more babies being born early and surviving, more babies need special care,” said Mr Davies.
“Doctors and nurses must be given the resources to cope with this and to provide the best care possible for these babies and their families.”
