Angle lifeboat launched to aid stricken charter boat

On Thursday evening (17 March), RNLI Angle’s all-weather lifeboat, Mark Mason, towed to safety a 38-foot charter boat, which was disabled with a fuel problem south of Skokholm Island, off the Pembrokeshire coast.

The Tamar class all-weather lifeboat, which had a crew of seven, was alerted to the incident by HM Coastguard shortly after 6pm. On reaching the scene, a line was passed to the charter boat, which had two people on board, and she was taken in tow to the pontoon outside Milford Docks.

Once the casualty vessel was safely berthed alongside the pontoon, the lifeboat returned to her station.
