Appeal after assault in Bala

Police are appealing for information after a 17 year old girl was sexually assaulted on the evening of Saturday 20th November near to the Rugby Club in Bala.

Detective Constable Mike Owen said that the assault took place in the area between Bala lake footpath and the Rugby Club fields at about 10pm.

He said: ” We are now anxious to trace a man described as being in his 20’s, muscular build, 5’10” tall, brown eyes, shaven designer bushy eyebrows with markings on each eyebrow and a noticeable bump on his nose.

“He had peroxide blonde hair with black roots with a very short fringe and spoke with a local accent.

“He was wearing a black hooded top with a blue Henley’s or Mackenzie logo (circles), black tracksuit bottoms, black and orange Henley trainers, black scarf and ski gloves.

“We understand that this man was at public houses in Bala on the evening of this incident and we are asking anyone who may have seen him to contact us.

“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who may have information with regard to the identity and current whereabouts of this person to get in touch.”
