Police are appealing for the help of the public after a dog died following an attack in Wrexham.
On Thursday, February 17, the owner of a Staffordshire Terrier let his dog out to be exercised on a communal ground near his home in the area of Y Wern, Wrexham.
When he went to call the dog back in he found his pet dead.
An individual or individuals are believed to have attacked the dog by striking it to the head. The dog is believed to have died from the blow and was also stabbed after it had died.
PC Viv Jones said: “The owner of the dog is devastated at the loss of his pet and is appealing to the public for help. I would urge anyone with information regarding this incident to contact us immediately.”
