Appeal after robbery in Denbigh

North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an armed robbery at Morrisons Garage, Denbigh, last night (28th December) at about 7.55 pm.

A man carrying a cross bow type weapon entered the garage in Smithfield Road, demanded cash from staff and made off with a quantity of money.

Police are trying to establish whether the weapon was real or imitation.

The offender is described as white, male 5’10-6’0 tall, of athletic build and around 25-30 years of age. He was wearing black clothing and a black balaclava.

Detective Sergeant Craig Adshead said:” The offender made his getaway with an unknown amount of cash. No one was hurt during the incident, although the members of staff were shaken.

“We are examining CCTV footage and would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything unusual or suspicious or may have any information regarding the offence to contact St Asaph CID immediately.”
