Appeal after robbery in Shotton

North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery at Pizza Hut in Shotton last night at approx. 10.30pm (Thursday, January 27).

Detective Sergeant Kevin Bowden said that three men wearing balaclavas entered the premises in Chester Road West, locked two members of staff in the back room and stole cash.

He added that a staff member was hit by one of the offenders but is not believed to have sustained an injury.

The offenders are described as all wearing black clothing. One is described as slim build approx. 5ft 10″ tall, the second and third are of medium build and approx 5ft 7″ tall. One of the men was in possession of a machete which was used to threaten staff.

DS Bowden said: “We would like to reassure the public that North Wales Police are investigating this offence robustly and will continue to do so until the perpetrators are brought to justice”

“We are appealing to anyone who has information in connection with this incident and to any person who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything suspicious to contact Mold CID immediately.”
