Appeal after sheep attack in Tregarth

Police are urging dog owners to take care with their pets in the countryside following an attack on a sheep in the Tregarth area of Bangor.

PC Lisa Thomas said that the sheep had been injured in a field between 9.30am and 6pm on Monday February 21.

She said: “The owner thinks the animal has been bitten by a dog as it has a small puncture mark on its neck and she has informed other local farmers.

“This is the second time this has happened in the past month and we are now urging people to take care with their dogs in the countryside.

“We are also appealing for information from anyone who might have been in the area at the time and noticed anything suspicious.”
