Appeal following assault in Llandudno

Police investigating an assault on a 46-year-old man in Llandudno are appealing for help to trace the offenders.

The 46-year-old victim, who is from north Africa, was left shocked and needed hospital treatment for facial injuries following the assault which happened at around 1am on Sunday, September 19.

The victim was on Upper Mostyn Street when he was chased by a group of males and assaulted. The incident started outside the London Public House and spilled into the road.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information to contact police at Llandudno.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to a woman who was seen talking to the victim prior to the assault as she may hold vital information. She is described as white, aged in her early 20’s, 5’8″ tall of thin build and was wearing a purple or blue dress. The woman is also described as carrying a small white shoulder handbag.

Police investigating are also trying to trace five males who were all dressed in dark clothing. One of the five is described as white, aged late 20’s to early 30’s, and of average height and build. He had a bald or shaved head and was wearing a dark shirt with piping along the shoulder area.

CCTV is being studied as part of the investigation and inquires also continue locally.
