Appeal following robbery in Flint

Police are continuing to appeal for information following a robbery at the Co-operative store in Flint.

Just before 8.45pm on Friday, October 29, a man entered the store on Chester Road, Oakenholt, grabbed a member of staff and then demanded money from the till. The staff member handed cash from the till to the offender who then placed it in a black coloured drawstring bag. The offender, who was armed with a knife, then left the store with a quantity of cash.

It is known that the offender ran off in the direction of Borough Grove, Flint.

The offender is described as being over 6ft 1’tall and of slim build. He was described as wearing a peaked cap and had a scarf covering his face. He is described as wearing a big black sports hooded coat which had the hood pulled up over his cap.

Police inquires are continuing and CCTV is being studied as part of the investigation.

Detective Sergeant Kevin Bowden confirmed that nobody was hurt during the incident, and stressed that such incidents are rare in the area.

He added that the investigation was progressing very well, but still urged anyone to come forward with information
