Appeal for information: Attempted burglary, Rhymni

Gwent Police is appealing for information to help locate a man who attempted to rob a 45 year old man in St David’s Church,  Rhymni at around 5:30pm on Thursday 17th December.

The man demanded money and produced a knife although no threats with the knife were made and the victim was unhurt.  The offender left empty handed and is described as being white, in his  early to mid 30s, 5’10” tall and of stocky build with short hair. He was wearing jeans, a light t shirt and dark jacket and also wore a silver neck chain. The offender was also described as being drunk and in an unclean state.

Police enquiries are on going and anybody with information about the attempted robbery is asked to contact Gwent Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
