Appeal for information following burglary, Leechpool

Police in Chepstow are appealing for information following a burglary at a residential property in Leechpool near Caldicot. At approximately 9pm last night (Thursday February 17th) a young male knocked on the door of the property and asked the elderly male resident to accompany him to an outhouse, saying that he believed that people were sleeping there.

Once they had reached the outhouse, the young man ran back to the main house. Its believed he stole house keys.

The offender is described as approximately 18 years of age, five feet eight inches tall, dark hair, slim build, wearing white trainers and blue jeans. He spoke with a local accent. He was last seen making his way down the B4245 toward Chepstow on foot.
