Gwent Police is appealing for information following an incident of disorder on Cromwell Road, Newport which occured at approximately 10pm on 21st July.
Residents reported concerns about the behaviour of two men in the street, one was in possession of a chainsaw and one was in possession of a hammer.
One of the men drove off in a burgundy coloured van and the other drove off in a white van.
No-one was injured.
Two men, one aged 32 from Newport and one aged 19 from Cwmcarn, have been arrested on suspicion of affray and being in possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
