Police are appealing for information following a robbery at Barters Newsagents on Llantarnam Road, Cwmbran last night (Monday February 17th).
Two men went into the shop at 9.50pm and, whilst holding a knife, demanded money of the shop assistant. They left with an amount of cash from the till. No one was injured.
Its believed they headed off on foot.
The man holding the knife is described as wearing sunglasses and a balaclava and he spoke with a local accent.
Enquiries are on going to establish the identity of the two men.
Police are also seeking to trace a woman who was passing the newsagents at about 10pm and who spoke to the victim.
