Gwent Police is appealing for information following a serious collision that happened between a pedal cyclist and a pedestrian yesterday, Wednesday 11th May.
It happened just before 2pm on Ponthir Road, Caerleon.
The female pedestrian, a 77 year old from the Caerleon area, is currently in a critical condition in hospital. The male cyclist suffered minor injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Gwent Police on 101.
