Appeal: Robbery in Sychdyn

NW PoliceNorth Wales Police are appealing for witnesses and formation following an armed robbery at a post office and shop near Mold last night (Thursday, 3rd December).

At 21:15 North Wales Police were informed that a robbery had taken place at the Post Office on London Road in Sychdyn, whereby three men entered the premises and threatened a staff member.

The three were armed with weapons which included a baseball bat and a knife.

The female staff member managed to escape unhurt.

The men then left the premises with a handbag which contained bank cards and a small amount of cash. Nothing else was stolen during the incident.

They then got into a white coloured Golf and made off towards the general direction of Northop.

The staff member was left shocked but unhurt.

All three men were wearing dark coloured clothing and balaclavas.

CCTV footage is being investigated and enquiries are ongoing.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Sychdyn and who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour, or to anybody who saw the white coloured Golf in the area to contact officers at Mold CID on 101, if you are calling from Wales, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line), 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers Wales Cymru anonymously on 0800 555 111.
