Appeal to Cardiff students in assault case

Police are appealing for assistance from the student community after a female was assaulted in Cathays, Cardiff.

The 19-year-old was hit across the head in Llanbleddian Gardens at around 3.45am on Tuesday, January 22.

The male responsible, who was wearing a grey T-shirt, ran off laughing in the direction of Senghennydd Road.

He is described as white, aged 18 to 23 years old, 5ft 8in tall, of slight build, with brown spiked hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact student liaison officer PC Kier Hagelstein at Cathays Police Station by calling 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
