Archbishop talks to professions on business ethics

The Archbishop of Wales, the Most Rev Dr Barry Morgan will speak to the Professions Group Wales at the Law Society Offices in Cardiff on Wednesday, January 12th (6pm).

Dr Morgan will emphasise the importance of ethics to any organisation, and offer a framework for all to follow, based on his outsider’s view.

This event is organised by Professions Group Wales (PGW) which comprises ICAEW, ACCA, RICS, Law Society and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

David Lermon, Wales director of ICAEW, said: “We’re delighted Dr Morgan has found space in his very busy calendar to offer an outsider’s view of business ethics. Ethical behaviour is fundamental to an organisation’s reputation, trustworthiness and long-term performance.”

It is important that all business leaders try to:

  • identify and evaluate factors which affect the integrity of the organisation
  • recommend and implement courses of action which safeguard the organisation’s integrity

David Lermon continued: “There has never been a better time to highlight the importance of ethics in business.”
