The search is now on for the best businesses in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Business Club’s popular and prestigious annual Gala Awards were officially launched by members at the Heritage Park Hotel in Trehafod this month.
Organised by RCT Business Club with support from Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, the awards are open to all companies within the County Borough.
They are free to enter and applicants can enter as many categories as are applicable to them.
The categories are:
- Environmental Business of the Year – in association with Groundwork Merthyr & RCT
- Independent Retailer of the Year- in association with L’Oreal UK
- Innovative Business of the Year – in association with Heads of the Valleys Innovation Programme (HOVIP)
- Marketing Campaign of the Year – in association with the Chartered Institute of Marketing
- Manufacturing Business of the Year – in association with South East Wales Local Investment Fund
- Business Start-up of the Year – in association with Venture Wales
Cllr Paul Cannon, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Safer Communities, said: “I am so pleased that the nominations for RCT Business Club Gala Awards are now officially open!
“This is an important annual event that enables us to highlight and celebrate the excellence and innovation taking place in businesses across our County Borough.
“We are currently in tough economic times, which means that now, more than ever, we must celebrate and support our local businesses.
“These awards, and the wider work of the RCT Business Club, helps to do this and I look forward to seeing as many entries as possible for this important event.”
The deadline for entries is Friday 28th January 2011 and the winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner & awards ceremony on Friday 4th March 2011 at the Heritage Park Hotel.
