How accurate are your bathroom scales? We all rely on them for different reasons but how do we know if they are accurate?
As part of World Metrology Day (Friday, 20 May) and to promote the Weights and Measures work that they do Blaenau Gwent Council’s Trading Standards are offering free checks on bathroom scales to residents of Blaenau Gwent.
All you need to do is bring your scales along to the Civic Centre, Ebbw Vale, between 10am and 4pm on that day where qualified Trading Standards officers will test them and give you a certificate of accuracy.
The scales can also be taken in advance (between Monday, May 16th and Thursday, May 19th) to the Environmental Health Office, Anvil Court, Abertillery or the Brynmawr District Office, Beaufort Street, Brynmawr.
