Residents of Caerphilly county borough will have the opportunity to put their community safety related questions to a panel of experts at an event next month.
The Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership will hold its annual ‘Ask the Panel’ event, which will allow residents the chance to quiz experts from a series of crime fighting organisations.
The ‘Ask the Panel’ event will be held on Friday 9th July from 5-6pm at Caerphilly county borough Council’s headquarters Penallta House, Tredomen Park, Ystrad Mynach.
Superintendant Jon Burley, Chair of the Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership said, “Whether you would like to find out more about what is being done to address crime and anti-social behaviour in your area, or how you go about reporting enviro-crime issues such as graffiti and dog fouling, the ‘Ask the Panel’ event will be an ideal opportunity to do this.”
He continued, “The feedback we gained from residents who attended the same event last year was very positive, and I would encourage as many people to come along and take advantage of this excellent event.”
Members of the public are invited to attend from 4pm, where they will have the opportunity to visit lots of information stalls and speak to members of staff before the event formally begins at 5pm.
Experts will be on hand from each member of the partnership: Caerphilly County Borough Council, Gwent Police, Gwent Police Authority, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Aneurin Bevan Health Board and All Wales Probation Service.
Free transport to and from the event may be available – for further information please call 01443 864374.
