Police in Bridgend have arrested two men following the assault of a 23 year old man which occurred in Cefn Cribwr at around 5.00pm on Thursday (16 December).
The arrested men, both aged 27, come from the Pyle and Nottage areas.
Detective Inspector Jason Redrup of Bridgend CID said: “This was a very nasty and unprovoked attack on a man in his family home.
“It is believed that this was a case of people taking the law into their own hands combined with a case of mistaken identity. This type of behaviour will not be tolerated. On no account should anyone believe it is the right thing to do to behave in this manner.
“If you have a concern of any sort it should be reported to the police and the proper authorities will deal with it.
“Anyone who thinks they are able to take the law into their own hands is very much mistaken and they will be dealt with appropriately!”
