Assault in Llandudno: CCTV still issued

North Wales Police have released a CCTV still of a man they want to trace in connection with an assault that occurred in a Llandudno nightclub last month.

Shortly after 02:30am on Sunday, 22nd of November, a 28-year-old man was the victim of an unprovoked assault at the Broadway Boulevard, whereby another man punched him once in the jaw.

The offender then left the club, and is believed to have run across the road.

An ambulance was called and the 28-year-old was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan, where he needed surgery to repair his broken jaw.

He was released from hospital a few days after the assault.

PC Mark Rhodes from Llandudno Police Station said: “We have released the CCTV image in the hope somebody somewhere will recognise the man and come forward.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and we are urging anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact us immediately.”

Anybody who may have witnessed the assault inside the club, or anyone who may recognise the man in the photograph is asked to contact PC 1892 Mark Rhodes at Llandudno Police Station on 101, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line), 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers Wales Cymru on 0800 555 111.
