Bag snatch in Buckley: Appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman was the victim of a bag snatch in Buckley over the weekend.

Shortly before 10:30am on Saturday, 23rd January, the 72-year-old was walking along Alyn Road when she was approached from behind by a man.

The man snatched her handbag and ran away towards the general direction of Padeswood Road North.

The offender is described as being in his late teens or early 20’s and around 5ft 8 inches tall and of slim build. He was wearing a grey coloured hooded top that had a white stripe. The hood was pulled up over his head.

The black leather handbag contained personal items such as bank cards and a Nokia mobile phone.

The woman was left shocked but unhurt by the incident.
