The mostly volunteer crew of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s Barry Dock lifeboat were called to more incidents recently.
Last week the Barry Dock lifeboat was launched to assist a yacht that dismasted near in the Bristol Channel.
The yacht and three people on board were towed into Barry Harbour.
In another incident on Monday at 3am the Barry Dock lifeboat was launched to look for a person that was reported going into the sea off Whitmore Bay.
The Barry Dock lifeboat, HM Coastguard and police foot patrols together with a police helicopter searched Whitmore Bay and the surrounding coastline.
The Barry Dock lifeboat was able to locate the person on the rocks at Friars Point by using the high powered search light .
