Barry parents are taking the lessons

Parents from the Flying Start catchment area of Barry have successfully completed a series of courses.

Since September, the parents have attended courses covering ‘Handling Children’s Behaviour,’ ‘Incredible Years’ or ‘The Nurturing Programme.’ The variety of topics focused on challenges brought by each new stage of a child’s development.

Flying Start parenting facilitator Cathy Candy said: “Raising our children is the most difficult job in the world and no-one has all the answers.”

Flying Start is a Welsh Assembly Government initiative being delivered through the Vale of Glamorgan Council in the Cadoc, Gibbonsdown and Court ward areas of Barry.
