BBC Radio Wales will be serving some new voices with the eggs and bacon as it changes the presenter line-up for its flagship breakfast programme Good Morning Wales as part of a series of exciting changes for the autumn schedules.
Felicity Evans and Oliver Hides, who have been stalwarts of the drivetime news programme Good Evening Wales for several years, will be up with the larks to join current presenter Bethan Rhys Roberts to bring the best of the news for Wales and beyond throughout the week.
Former Good Morning Wales host Sarah Dickins will be relishing a lie-in as she moves to Good Evening Wales, which will continue to bring a full two-hour round-up of the day’s events, though starting slightly later than usual at 5pm.
Sports fans will be delighted with a new ten-minute dedicated sports slot in the programme every evening at 6.30pm with Steve James, which on Thursdays, during the rugby season, will immediately precede Scrum V Radio.
Roy Noble fans will be getting even more of their favourite homespun philosopher as Roy’s programme extends from two to three hours every weekday afternoon, from 2-5pm.
BBC Radio Wales’ popular features, such as Wales at Work, Science Café and the Radio Wales Arts Show will move to a regular 7pm slot on weekdays.
The changes to the weekday schedule take place from September 6,
Changes are also being made to the Sunday schedule from 12 September. Following the end of Called to Order, a new political programme will make its debut at 8am from September 12. The perennially- popular String of Pearls and award-winning All Things Considered will now start 30 minutes later at 9am and 9.30am respectively.
