Be Creative in the Maes C Caption Competition

By now, Maes C materials are being distributed across Wales, to encourage Eisteddfodwyr and local people to book their tickets now.

The materials are slightly different this year, using  classic photos from the Eisteddfod archive, with captions, hoping these will put a smile on your face as you find out more about what’s on offer.

We’re also running a captions competition on our website and through the press and media.  We’ve published four photos on our website (some of them are the same as the posters and promotional materials), and we want to see your Welsh language captions!

We’ve already had a go and now it’s your turn!  Win a pair of tickets to the evening of your choice at Maes C with the best caption for each of the posters, so get thinking and have some fun!

The closing date is 15 July and we’ll be announcing the winners soon afterwards.  We’ll produce panels with the winning captions for the Welcome Pavilion and Maes C itself.

Send your captions to [email protected] or complete the online entry form.  Remember to note the photo number with your entry. Good luck!

This year’s Maes C is held at Clywedog School, Ruthin Road, Wrexham.  For line up information and to buy tickets go to www.eisteddfod.org.uk.

The Eisteddfod is held at Lower Berse Farm, off Ruthin Road, from 30 July – 6 August.  Organisers expect up to 160,000 people to attend the festival.
