Beach attack

Police are appealing for information after a man needed hospital treatment as a result of being attacked as he approached Pensarn Beach.

The incident happened between 12.20am and 12.30am on Monday 12th July, when a 47- year- old man from the Pensarn area was attacked and robbed of an amount of cash, as he walked over the bridge leading down to the beach.

The victim suffered a blow to the back of the head causing a wound which required hospital treatment.

One man has been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident, but police are keen to speak to a number of youths who were seen in the area at the time.

DC Phil Williams said: “There were a number of vehicles in the area and witnesses are urged to come forward in confidence.”
