On Thursday 15 October morning at 8.25am the volunteer crew at the RNLI’s lifeboat station at Beaumaris launched to assist a broken down yacht 5 miles off Puffin Island.
The yacht, with two persons aboard, had suffered engine failure and was becalmed off the Island. The Beaumaris Inshore Lifeboat was called out by the Coastguard unit and towed the yacht to Beaumaris and placed it on a mooring.
