Neath Port Talbot Flying Start playgroups organised a fundraising event for Barnardos by taking a big toddle through Margam Park on the 25th June. 267 children and 247 adults from Neath Port Talbot walked together, starting at the picturesque Orangery and finishing up at the castle.
The big toddle event was opened by Councillor Olga Jones, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People. The children also wore an array of colourful fancy dress costumes to help them along the way. Each toddler was presented with a medal for taking part followed by a well deserved picnic lunch and lots of fun activities.
Council Leader Ali Thomas said “Congratulations to all the parents, carers and toddlers of Neath Port Talbot who took advantage of this great fundraising opportunity to spend a fun day out and enjoy some quality time together in the wonderful surroundings of Margam Park. Flying Start playgroups provide an essential service within our communities. This is another example of Neath Port Talbot working together for the welfare of our children”
