Bike Safe in Belgrano

Bikes in Belgrano are safer now than they were a week ago after North Wales Police teamed up with Conwy County Council Road safety officer to hand out hundreds of pieces of free safety equipment including lights, reflectors and locks.

PCSO Sally Mulvaney said: “We recognised that many children were using their bikes in the dark evenings without any lights or reflectors which is incredibly dangerous. We teamed up with the council road safety officer to give our goodies which hopefully will encourage them to be seen … and be safe!”

Bicycles were also marked using UV pens warning potential thieves that the property could be traced back to the owner if it was stolen. The message was clear… Lock it, list it, don’t lose it!
