Bitesized tales guaranteed to delight

A mouse, a lion and a tortoise will delight audiences with some of the most famous moral tales in history with a rather quirky twist later this month.

Theatr Na N’og are set to bring the fantastic ‘Aesop’s Fables’ to Blackwood Miners’ Institute on Saturday 26th February at 11am.

Adapted by Keiron Self, Aesop’s Fables contains bitesized stories for young children and their families, is guaranteed to delight regardless of age and is ideal for families looking for something to do over the half term holidays!

The tales begin…

The mouse tells stories because it doesn’t want to get eaten by the lion… the lion because it wants to eat the mouse…and the tortoise because…well…because it wants to eat its lettuce sandwich!

As relevant now as they were centuries ago, these quirky characters take their audience through a number of Fables, involving wily wolves, dopey dogs, haring hares, flattering foxes and even silly humans!

Knockabout and slapstick, but remaining true to the spirit of Aesop, Theatr Na N’og’s production will make their audience laugh out loud, and who knows you might learn something too!

Tickets cost £5.50 and £4.50. A family ticket costs £18.

The running time for Aesop’s Fables is 50 minutes and it is suitable for children aged between 4 and 8 and families.

Aesop’s Fables is part of the B3 season of family events being held at Blackwood Miners’ Institute. Blackwood Miners’ Institute is a family friendly venue, and has facilities including a buggy park, booster seats and changing facilities.
