North Wales Police are warning residents to be on their guard against people cold calling at home or over the phone trying to sell computer anti-virus software by claiming that there are viruses in the local area.
The appeal follows reports of bogus callers claiming to represent well known computer companies urging people to buy the software for fear of others being able to hack into their computers.
The advice is always to ask for identification and a company phone number you can use to check back and never to disclose any personal or financial details.
