Denbighshire’s LDP sites out for discussion

Back in October and November last year, residents were asked to comment on the Deposit Denbighshire Local Development Plan (LDP), a blueprint which will guide development in the County over a 15 year period.

Among the responses received, a number are suggesting new sites or, the removal or alteration of some of the proposed sites. These responses have been compiled into an Alternative Sites Register and feedback on the sites is now invited from residents and interested parties.  It must be stressed that these are not sites the Council is promoting, but sites that were commented upon by local residents, organisations or landowners at the Deposit consultation stage.

The Register can now be viewed from the 19 May until 30 June, 2010, at all local libraries, One Stop Shops and council offices during normal office hours and on the Council’s website at www.denbighshire.gov.uk/ldp

Anyone wishing to add their comments can write to the LDP Team, Planning and Public Protection Services, Caledfryn, Smithfield Road, Denbigh, Denbighshire, Ll16 3RJ or email [email protected] before 5pm on 30 June, 2010.

Please note – at this stage in the process, responses must relate to the sites in the Register. Any comments relating to the original deposit LDP or suggesting further sites cannot be considered.

Once all responses have been received for this stage, they will be collated and published in full on the website.

For further information or assistance, please phone 01824 706916 to speak to a member of the LDP Team.
