Burglary in Skewen

guitarPolice in Neath are appealing for information following a burglary in Skewen.
 
The incident happened at a house in Parc Y Deri between 12.30am and 7.30am on Sunday 18th May when entry was gained through an insecure rear door while the occupants were asleep.

It appears the suspects have climbed over a wall at the rear of the house from a lane which runs from Burrows Road to Parc Wern.

Once inside the house they stole a cream/white coloured Fender electric guitar and a black ladies handbag which had a beaded pattern of a bird on the front. The bag contained a white Samsung Ace mobile phone and a pink purse.

A golf bag containing a set of Dunlop golf clubs, golf shoes and clothing plus a tool box containing various tools were stolen from the garden shed.

Detective Inspector Trudi Meyrick of Neath CID said: “We are appealing to anyone who has information about the burglary or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in this area of Skewen late on Saturday night into the early hours of Sunday morning to come forward.

“Anyone carrying this amount of property at this time of night would have looked out of place.

“We are also appealing to anyone who knows the whereabouts of this stolen property to contact police or Crimestoppers anonymously.”
