On Monday 14th July, pupils from Cwmaber Infants School were invited by the Mayor of Caerphilly County Borough Council to sing at a special lunchtime concert at Penallta House.

The Mayor, Cllr. David Carter, recently heard the Choir sing at a charity event for the Noah’s Ark appeal and was so impressed with the children’s voices that he invited them to entertain in the Council’s headquarters at Penallta House.

Cllr. David Carter, Mayor of Caerphilly County Borough Council said, “I’d like to thank the Pupils from Cwmaber Infants for coming along to sing for us, their beautiful voices and happy faces were a pleasure – I thoroughly enjoyed their performance.”

Jayne Price, Head Teacher at Cwmaber Infants said, “The children were absolutely wonderful and have proved themselves as great ambassadors for the school representing not only Caerphilly, but the whole of Wales.”
